Visit to ITER (International Thermonuclear Experimental reactor)

23rd of July (14h-18h)

ITER

ITER, the world’s largest fusion energy research project, is located in the Provence countryside, about 80 km north of Marseille. We offer 50 conference participants the opportunity to visit the ITER worksite and gain a first impression of the progress made so far. During the visit, we will show you some of the machine's components and the construction site's progress.

Please carry a valid form of identification, either an EU-issued (Schengen) ID card or a passport. Copies of ID documents, driver's licenses, or professional badges are not accepted.

Please remember to adhere to the ITER visit dress code: shorts, dresses, and skirts are not permitted, nor are open-toed shoes or high heels. Only small shoulder bags are allowed.

ANTICIPATING HIGH DEMAND, WE HAVE SCHEDULED A SECOND VISIT ON FRIDAY, JULY 25th from 14:00 to 19:00. THE FIRST 50 REGISTERED PARTICIPANTS WILL VISIT ITER ON WEDNESDAY, WHILE THE NEXT ONES WILL BE OFFERED A VISIT ON FRIDAY

(and if the Friday visit doesn’t suit you, you will be reassigned to the second excursion on Wednesday, a boat tour of the Calanques)
